Cognify Tutors matches families in Singapore with home and online tutors, and music teachers, on what each child actually needs.
What we do
A parent tells us their child's level and subjects, when they're free, where they live and what they'd like to spend. Anyone who can't teach that subject at that level is left out, and every other tutor is scored out of 100 on the rest, with the reasons shown on each profile. The family reads the shortlist and chooses, and we introduce them.
We find music teachers the same way, for children and adults.
How tutors are checked
A verified badge means a tutor has shown us proof of what they claim: a degree scroll or an academic transcript for qualifications and results, and for current or former MOE teachers, a letter or posting record from the school or the ministry. We check that the name on the documents matches the name on the account. We never ask for, sight or keep NRIC numbers.
Every tutor also confirms, as an ongoing obligation, that they have not been charged with or convicted of, and are not under investigation for, any offence involving a minor, sexual misconduct, abuse, violence, exploitation or dishonesty. If that ever changes, or we reasonably believe it might, we may suspend or remove them. The full terms
What it costs
Nothing to ask, and no account needed. Tutors set their own rates, what you settle on is between you and your tutor, and nothing is added on top.
Our fee comes from the tutor: their first two lessons, after which the family pays them directly. If a tutor isn't working out, ask for a different one at any time, for any reason, and we start again.
